I really feel you, to some extent. I'm going through some of that with Dani, who feels so much like my sister sometimes and not at all the rest of the time. It's a mind fuck and a hard one, and I'm sorry it's happening at all to any of us.

I don't know if there's a way to make it better. I'm not going to look at Dani and not almost see my Wanda. And you're not going to look at Sam and not think of your Scott.

But sometimes it's good to have extra incentive to make the most of a fresh start. Maybe you wouldn't have this connection with Dani if Scott had been your Scott.

Historically I paced a lot and brooded and got very angry, which was not exactly productive! So I'm trying to be better this time and just support whoever needs support.
